‘A beautifully light bodied Mataro bursting with florals of lavender and potpourri. Flavours of fresh red cherries and strawberry give ethereal freshness and are yin-yanged to the brooding savoury elements of forest floor, charcuterie, wild mushroom and spice. A line of fresh acid gets the palate salivating, and the harmony of savoury and fresh fruit align the chakras in this simple yet complex smashable estate Mataro.’

James Lienert, October 2018

Offering spicy/savoury nuances with sweet fruit richness, the wine shows dark cherry, mulberry, thyme, cake spicy and roasted nut aromas on the nose, followed by a beautifully weighted palate that’s smooth and delightfully flowing. It’s firmly structured by chalky tannins, making the wine sturdy and persistent with a splendid dry finish. At its best: now to 2026. 94 Points – Sam Kim Wine Orbit Dec 2019
